Media celebrates Lunar New Year thanks to Hoi Michael Cheung
This past weekend, the Media Borough celebrated a Lunar New Year with traditional dance, parade, and decor. The festivities even managed to fit in ahead of Old Man Winter’s most recent snow dumping.
Visit Media PA, the promotional arm of Media Business Association, shared images of the celebration on social media on Tuesday.
“Wow, what an incredible Lunar New Year celebration in Media on Saturday!” said the post on Facebook. “A big thanks to Hoi Michael Cheung for doing such an amazing job coordinating this beloved annual event. We were thrilled to see State Street filled with families, friends, and so much joy on a beautiful day in Everybody’s Hometown!”
Cheung, the event’s organizer, also took to Facebook to share his thanks.
“So grateful for everybody to support this year’s Lunar New Year celebration and the lion dance,” he said. “Especially we had the perfect day in between the rain and the snow storm. Hope everyone have an awesome year.”
