‘Test & Go’ kiosks in Delco offer naloxone, flu tests, gun locks and more

They say nothing in this life is free, but it’s not always true. The public may not be aware, but five locations around Delaware County contain free health and safety products that can assist people in need — or even save a life.

The Delaware County Health Department offers free products including naloxone, first aid kits, tampons/pads, condoms, gun lucks, STI/HIV tests, emergency blankets, and tests for COVID-19, flu A/B and RSV. Harm reduction kits — which can include things like sterile syringes, fentanyl test strips and wound-care items, and are aimed at maximizing safety for drug users — are also available.

The products are available at “Test & Go” kiosks including the Yeadon Wellness Center, the county government center in Media, Keystone First Wellness Center in Chester, Delaware County Community College’s Marple campus, and the 69th Street Transit Center in Upper Darby. According to the county health department, the free products are fully funded by county grants and therefore available at no cost to residents.

DCCC’s Marple campus and the 69th Street Terminal were added to the list of kiosk locations in 2025, and gun locks were added to the items available thanks to the District Attorney’s Office and the Chester Partnership for Safe Neighborhoods.

To operate the kiosks, users must first select their product and answer a few anonymous questions before their chosen item is dispensed. Those accessing lab tests must register directly at the kiosk, retrieve their test kit immediately and follow its instructions, then return their sample in the kiosk drop box or use the provided FedEx mailer to receive laboratory results within 24 to 48 hours.
