Cast your vote: Round one voting closes tonight on Media’s Hometown Holiday Contest
As previously covered by Media PA Now, the Borough of Media is hosting its own Hometown Holiday Contest. And today is your last day to pick a winner.
Voting, which opened on Dec. 12, will close at the end of today, Dec. 19. The public is able to vote through tonight through the borough’s online form here. Around 20 homes are entered into the finals, and each voter may pick a favorite three.
On Saturday, Dec. 20, during the Media Recreation Board’s Winter Solstice Community Night from 5:30 to 8 p.m. hosted in the Plum Street area of State Street, a final tally of votes will be counted.
The public is invited to attend the event, complete with luminary lights, solstice poems, and live music (even some carolers).
“Grab a hot cocoa or tea, and a borough holiday light map,” said the borough’s release. “Then, take a stroll (or drive) around the Borough to enjoy the homes decorated for the season!”
The Hometown Holiday Contest event and its prizes are sponsored by the Recreation Board.
