Upper Darby man found guilty of trying to kill officers responding to Sept. 2023 burglary
An Upper Darby man was convicted on attempted murder and related offenses for firing at police officers investigating a burglary in September 2023, according to information reported in the Delaware County Daily Times.
Brandon Corey-McCoy, 29, of the 7800 block of Park Avenue, was also found guilty of assaulting a police officer, attempted burglary and two counts aggravated assault following a jury trial last week before Common Pleas Court Judge Mary Alice Brennan.
The jury convicted Corey- McCoy on almost all charges, though the judge declared a mistrial on a resisting arrest charge. Corey-McCoy faces a 20-year mandatory minimum at sentencing, scheduled for April 28.
