Bridgerton comes to Media

Brush off your tiaras and mark your calendar.

Pardon me, but do you have your pinky prepared for this proper setting? You might need to practice. And if you have a Bridgerton fan in the house, this event is a must.

“Society is watching… and there’s a new star in town!” said a post shared by the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce on Facebook. And it is high time those in Delaware County were brought into a world of finery, etiquette, and flair.

Guests are invited to “step into elegance” at The Gilded Crumb: A Bridgerton-Themed Experience, hosted by Jane Baked It. Jane Baked It is the newest of the Delaware County Chamber, and she makes her grand debut with an “unforgettable evening of Regency-inspired indulgence!”

On Saturday, May 9, from 5 to 8 p.m., the indulgent night will be hosted at Kings Mills in Media. A variety of features are designed to take guests back in time.

“Spots are limited, and trust us, you’ll want to be on the guest list,” said the Chamber’s social media post. “Dance the night away with ballroom classes, savor delicious desserts and drinks, and immerse yourself in a world of charm, connection, and high-society fun, all in a setting that feels like it came straight from the pages of Bridgerton.”

If these delicacies are not enough to entice you, the atmosphere alone just might.

“Society awaits—along with delicious fare, an open bar, dancing, photo ops, decadent desserts, contests, and more in a venue fit for a queen,” said the registration page for the spectacular event.

“Guests can expect to be welcomed into a beautiful venue fit for a queen,” said the page. “A live DJ will be playing the lively Bridgerton playlist, along with some modern flare.”

If you’re worried about two left feet, don’t be. There’s even help for those concerned their dance skills are not up to a royal audience.

“We will have a ballroom instructor along with other dancers to lead the room in short instruction for time period dance,” said the Eventbrite page. “There will be actors on site to submerge guests into the Regency era.”

Excitement doesn’t stop on the dance floor. A variety of foods will also create an extravagant spread for those in attendance.

“Hot and cold food will be served and is included in your ticket along with a beer and wine bar,” said the page. “Delicious desserts will be displayed by your host Jane Baked It.”

If you need even more reasons to indulge, don’t fret.

“We are offering a photo booth for all guests to enjoy, as well. Unique vendors will be on site making fans and also allowing you to build your own bouquet if you choose to partake,” said the page.

Guests are also encouraged to truly get into the spirit of the event with their own costume. There are even incentives to those that participate.

“We will be hosting an array of contests for best dressed couple and Diamond of the Season,” said the registration description.

Guests won’t be indulging alone. After all, what is a Bridgerton party without the royal court?

“The Queen will be making her appearance and VIP ticket holders can have a photo with her and her court,” said the page.

A VIP ticket gets you even more than an opportunity with the Queen.

“We also will be having a whiskey tasting or Bridgerton themed cocktail experience for those holding the VIP ticket,” said the page.

If you’re ready to enjoy a lovely time, preregister for the event here. Chamber members use the code “presale” for $15 off. The event is for ages 21 and over only. Kings Mills is located at 6000 Pennell Road in Media. Free parking will be available on-site.
