Marple Library continues to seek year-end, giving tree donations

The Marple Library has a longstanding tradition to support the local community. Each holiday holiday season, the organization collects funds for those in need.

“We make this request knowing that each gift is so appreciated, meaningful, and needed,” said a letter sent to Marple Township residents from the Library. “We are confident that of the many financial demands and requests made of you, that our library is worthy of your support now.”

The Marple Library calls itself a “go to” for many in the area.

“We offer a place to learn, work, and relax,” said the letter. “We hope you have had an opportunity to enjoy live programs online and in-person.”

The library will soon celebrate 75 years in the community, with the last 50 in the same location. While proud of their history, the library’s staff members know that it is a building that will soon need renovations.

“We are in the very early stages of studying how to renovate to ensure our library remains welcoming, safe, and available for all in our community,” said the library letter.

The library staff also recently took to Facebook to thank the community’s efforts thus far.

“THANK YOU to all who have donated to our Annual Fund Drive and made our Giving Tree wishes come true,” said the post.

Donations to the fund drive can be made by mail, in-person (by credit card, cash, or check) and online at the Library’s Paypal account here

“Each gift means so much and helps us tremendously. Thank you,” said the social media post.
