Bryce Harper reveals gender of fourth child with first-inning bat color
Even though he ultimately struck out, Bryce Harper’s first-inning at-bat Monday against the San Francisco Giants will be one of the most memorable of his career.
On the NBC Sports Philadelphia broadcast, Tom McCarthy noted that Harper was using a blue Victus bat that arrived at the park today and was given to him by Trea Turner. The bat color was a gender reveal, as Bryce and his wife Kayla are expecting a boy:

This will be the fourth child that the Harper’s welcome since the two-time NL MVP joined the Phillies in 2019. Bryce and Kayla currently have one boy (Krew) and two girls (Brooklyn and Kamryn).
After the 10-4 loss to the Giants, Turner explained how the whole reveal came together:

Harper is the second Phillie to do a gender reveal during a game early in the 2025 season. Bryson Stott previously wore a pink sweatband during an at-bat to reveal to a friend that their baby is going to be a girl:
