Joel Embiid Suspended 3 Games; Season Debut Date Revealed

The NBA announced a suspension of three games for Sixers star Joel Embiid Tuesday after a locker room altercation with Marcus Hayes of The Philadelphia Inquirer Saturday evening.

As noted by On Pattison‘s Austin Krell, the suspension will not begin until Embiid is ready to play. He’s yet to suit up for the Sixers this season.

ESPN‘s Shams Charania hears that suspension will start Wednesday night against the Los Angeles Clippers, and he’ll make his season debut on Nov. 12 against the New York Knicks.

It’s unlikely you missed out on the Embiid/Hayes story, but if you did, we wrote about it extensively over the weekend.
