Look: Matt Strahm has a Declaration of Independence glove
Matt Strahm has leaned all the way into the comparisons of him to Nicolas Cage in “National Treasure.”
The All-Star reliever revealed to Matt Gelb of The Athletic that he has a glove with the Declaration of Independence written on it, a nod to the 2004 film where Cage’s character steals the document:
“I stole it, then made a glove out of it,” Matt Strahm said. pic.twitter.com/loq4j4N24i

Because the Declaration of Independence part is white, Strahm probably isn’t able to use this during a game. White gloves aren’t allowed because the batter needs to be able to differentiate the ball from the pitcher’s glove.
Still, it’s a funny novelty item if nothing else that Victus was able to produce now that the torpedo bat hype has died down.
