Report: $3.1 Million Bet Placed on the Birds
The 10-2 Eagles are double-digit favorites over the 3-9 Carolina Panthers in Sunday’s game. A Panthers upset would leave Birds fans devastated.
But the pain would be most intense for an unnamed bettor in Kentucky, who wagered $3.1 million on the Eagles at -700 odds. The bet will return about $442,800 if it hits.

According to ESPN, Circa Sports took the bet, the largest wager the sportsbook has ever handled. The bet single-handedly moved the Eagles moneyline at the sportsbook to -870, which implies an 89.69% chance of a Philadelphia victory.
The game is close to a lock, sure. But betting $3.1 million is wild. It’s believed to be one of the largest regular-season NFL wagers of all-time. ESPN reports that a bettor placed a $1 million wager on the underdog Rams to cover a 3.5-point spread against the Eagles in Week 12. The Rams lost by 17.
