Report: Packers Receiver Christian Watson Tore ACL on Sunday

NFL.com’s Ian Rappaport reported Monday that talented Packers wide receiver Christian Watson tore his ACL during Green Bay’s loss to Chicago on Sunday.

Watson, 25, registered more regular season receiving yards (620) than all but two other Packers: WR Jayden Reed (857) and TE Tucker Kraft (707). Averaging 21.4 yards per reception, Watson was considered Green Bay’s top deep threat.

Injuries are hitting the Packers hard in advance of their playoff game against the Eagles. The club placed two-time All-Pro cornerback Jaire Alexander on injured reserve on Saturday because of a sprained PCL. Alexander has a shot to return if the Packers make it to the Super Bowl.

In happier news for Green Bay, quarterback Jordan Love is expected to play on Sunday despite leaving the Bears game after this play:

Whether Love will be 100% remains to be seen.
