This Phillies player has the best career OPS against the Cubs in baseball history
The player with the best career OPS against the Cubs since at least 1901 (minimum 200 plate appearances) is a Philadelphia Phillie.
And it’s not Mike Schmidt.

Schmidt hit 78 career home runs against the Cubs, more than anyone except Hank Aaron (87) or Willie Mays (92). Schmidtty also slashed an impressive .293/.387/.598 against the team for a .985 career OPS. But that OPS is just 17th-highest among all players with at least 200 career plate appearances against the Cubs.
Pat Burrell is just behind Schmidt on the list, in 18th place with a career .977 OPS against Chicago’s NL squad.
© Howard Smith | 2008 Apr 30If you picked Bryce Harper, that’s a great guess. But it’s also incorrect.
Harper has the fifth-highest career OPS against the Cubs at 1.030 (at least for now). That places the Phillies star just below Rogers Hornsby (1.031), Brian Giles (1.048), Frank Robinson (1.048), and…
Bobby Abreu.
Abreu hit .323/.432/.638 against the Cubs over 278 plate appearances. That’s a 1.069 OPS, the best career OPS against the Cubs in baseball history among players with at least 200 PAs (dating back to at least 1901).

Here’s the top 30. Dick Allen makes the list at number 28 and Nick Castellanos is 29th.
