Middletown Library event to help designers hone unpublished games

Whether you love playing board games, love designing them, or both, an upcoming event at Middletown Free Library is not to be missed.

On April 18, the library is hosting a Game Designer Playtest Day, which will give designers a chance to test their in-progress games and receive feedback.

“Whether your game is a board game, card game, or party game, this is a great chance to refine mechanics, balance gameplay, and see how your ideas can come to life,” the library stated.

But to accomplish that, the library needs individuals who simply love playing games to attend the event, too. “Come try out brand-new games before they’re published and help shape their development with your feedback,” the event listing said.

No experience is needed, and the event is free and open to all ages. It takes place in the Roosevelt Community Center from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Game designers must register and then email [email protected] to let the library know they’re coming.
