Following career year, Eagles reward Jordan Davis with lucrative extension

2026 won’t be Jordan Davis’ final season with the Eagles.

According to Jordan Schultz, the Eagles have rewarded Davis with a three-year/$78 million extension, which includes $65 million in guarantees:

The Eagles had previously exercised Davis’ fifth-year option, so this deal will go on top of his $12.938 million fully guaranteed salary for 2026.

Selected with the No. 13 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, Davis had 72 combined tackles, nine tackles for a loss, six quarterback hits and four-and-a-half sacks during his age-25 season. Most notably, he blocked what would have been a game-winning field goal from Los Angeles Rams kicker Joshua Karty in Week 3, scooping and scoring it as time expired:

It will be interesting to see whether Howie Roseman and the Eagles now pivot to trying to work out a long-term contract with fellow defensive tackle Jalen Carter, who is also eligible for his second contract now that he’s accumulated three seasons in the league.
