Winter Wonderland in Delco: Ice skating, events, and festivities at Flight On Ice
The Energy Transfer Veterans Memorial Rink in Edgmont, Newtown Square, returns for its fourth season this Friday, November 29, 2024, offering family-friendly outdoor ice skating through Presidents Day Weekend 2025. Operated by Flight On Ice and sponsored by Energy Transfer, the rink has become a beloved local tradition, earning “Best of Delco” awards for three consecutive years.
Key features for the season:
Expanded Activities: Kids’ zone with moon bounces, heated tents, cozy fire pits, a giant LED screen, gazebos, and festive food and drinks, including a bar menu by Tired Hands Brewery.

Community support & giving backThrough its partnership with the Delaware County Veterans Memorial Association (DCVMA), Energy Transfer has donated $155,000 since 2021 to support veterans and maintain the memorial site near the rink. A portion of proceeds from the rink and its Winter Beer Park will again benefit local veterans.
