Celebrate the season with Media’s Winter Solstice Community Night tomorrow
Whether you grab a bite to eat with the family, duck in for a warming beverage with some friends, or simply take in the sights and sounds of the season, all are welcome to attend the Media Borough’s Winter Solstice Community Night.
Slated for the Plum Street area of State Street, the event is hosted by the borough’s Recreation Board. Designed to “celebrate light and goodwill on the darkest night of the year,” there will be plenty of holiday joy to go around.
“Enjoy luminary lights, solstice poems, and live music and carolers,” said the borough’s release. “Grab a hot cocoa or tea, and a borough holiday light map, Then, take a stroll (or drive) around the Borough to enjoy the homes decorated for the season!”
In addition to the night’s festivities, the close of the Hometown Holiday Contest (Round One Voting ends tonight)
“That evening we will have a special round of voting open online for the finalists in our Hometown Holiday Contest,” said the borough’s post. “Also, while supplies last, nature crafts will be available for you to take or gift. And of course — come early or stay a little longer to enjoy all the food, drink, and shopping on State Street.”
Perhaps you need that extra time to find the perfect gift, or maybe you simply need a nice to relax and enjoy the scenes, this community event has much to offer all ages.
There is no cost to attend the event.
