DCHD to host Score for Wellness event Sunday

The skies are bluer, the grass is greener, and the weather is warming. Soon, it will be summer. So now is the ideal time to “kick off spring with a goal for your health,” according to the Delaware County Department of Health.
“Join the Delaware County Health Department for Score for Wellness, a fun, family-friendly event focused on connecting residents with valuable health resources and services,” said a post shared to the department’s social media.
The Score for Wellness event will take place Sunday, May 3, from 1 to 4 p.m. Guests will even be able to “play like the pros,” as the events are slated to be held at the WSFS Bank Sportsplex, located at 2485 Seaport Dr, Chester, Pa., the home of the Philadelphia Union. The day is sponsored by Jefferson Health Plans.
The day will include a variety of wellness-focused activities and educational opportunities. According to the department’s post, some of the available resources and activities include:
- Asthma resources
- Lead testing
- Behavioral health resources
- Health screenings
- Games
- Giveaways
